Amazing Hunting Cabin Redo

With $3,000 and an amazing amount of chutzpah Sandra Foster turned a 9x14 hunting cabin into the Victorian retreat she had always wanted.  I want one too!  Click here to read and see the rest of the story.  It's amazing!

What degree?

As a designer without a degree who is just getting started, I am in awe of others without degrees who have become some of the best in the industry.  That is why I've decided to begin paying homage to them and hopefully learn from them in the process.  I hope you'll enjoy all the posts to come!

Almost Hermes

These lacquered boxes from Ruzetti & Gow could almost pass for Hermes, and at the price - ranging from $75-$125 each - they're almost a steal!

Take a simple classic piece and throw some circles on it and you have total fabulousness - which is not exactly a word, but it works!

Hadn't thought of that...

My husband always tells me that our house looks like different stages of a thunderstorm, from a pale violet gray to dark slate blue walls. What can I say? I love gray in all shades and variations. What I'd never thought of was offsetting it with silver leaf ceilings (they look gold to me, but who am I to judge?). Gorgeous.

The lacquered walls in this space, by Miles Redd, are amazing. The different shades of blue and the pops of orange are genius. I also like how he let the room float without a rug.

Look What I Found!

I have been searching for these Cadee sandals by Calvin Klein ever since I saw my ever so stylish friend, Nikki, wearing them three years ago in San Francisco. Imagine my surprise when I turned around one last time as I was leaving Marshalls the other day and there they were. I go in looking for the perfect pair of bermuda shorts and I come out with love-of-my-life shoes (had to buy them in anthracite and gold, of course).

I just became a huge fan of Jean Pelle's Bubble Chandelier on Etsy! Simple and gorgeous. What could be better than that? $550 for the one in the photo.
